The book club session offers a chance for an informal overview and discussion of Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Key themes include the jazz age, bootleggers, flappers, illusions, romance, dream, success and failure. Baz Luhrmann’s nostalgic representation of the jazz age in his film adaptation of the novel will also be involved in the discussion.
